For the second annual Blue Diamond Gala, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation turned to G&R to celebrate one of the most famous voices in baseball history. Fleetwood Mac’s only show of the year was a warm tribute on a cool evening, honoring iconic Dodgers announcer Vin Scully’s 67-year career with the team.
The evening event featured an address from Scully to the crowd, appearances by numerous celebrities and Dodgers veterans, a charity auction and a majestic performance by Fleetwood Mac, staged in center field at Dodger Stadium. The legendary group delivered nearly two hours of hits, highlighted by the classic, “Landslide,” which singer Stevie Nicks dedicated to the guest of honor.
"Scully had the audience glued to his every word as he spun a remarkable tale. Later, Stevie Nicks dedicated "Landslide" to the great play-by-play man, noting that her band has been in the spotlight a long time, too: "We are right behind you, Mr. Scully.""
